Life has a way of pulling us in different directions. Between work, family, and the endless list of responsibilities, it’s easy to lose sight of the person at the center of it all: YOU.

Many women, especially high achievers, set incredibly high goals and work tirelessly to achieve them. Yet they often neglect their own well-being, dismissing self-care as selfish or unimportant. The truth is that prioritizing yourself isn’t selfish, it’s essential to your overall well-being.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply in need of a reset, the 28 Days of Loving Yourself Challenge offers a powerful opportunity to reconnect with yourself, build sustainable self-care habits, and start creating a life that aligns with your values and goals.

Why the Challenge Was Created

The idea for this challenge was born in January 2018, when my former business partners and I were running a coaching business together.

At the time, we were all overwhelmed, overworked, and running on empty. We realized that our packed schedules and relentless ambition were taking a toll on our mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

The challenge started as a way to reclaim our energy, re-center our focus, and find clarity about what truly mattered in our lives and businesses. It was also something we wanted to share with other women who were in the same situation as the 3 of us.

Creating and participating in the first 28 Days of Loving Yourself Challenge gave us clarity; not just about our personal lives, but also about our professional paths and business.

For my business partners, it became clear that the business we had built together wasn’t aligned with their long-term goals. We made the tough decision to part ways as a result of that challenge.

They gave me their blessing to continue with the business, and I’m proud to say that it has grown into a powerful, life-changing experience for so many women since then. Best of all, our personal relationship didn’t break, and we remained friends even after parting ways as business partners.

Since then, the 28 Days of Loving Yourself Challenge has grown into a transformative experience for women from all walks of life. It’s designed to help you pause, reflect, and build practices that nurture your mind, body, and soul.

My personal journey

I’ve been a Life Coach since 2011 and have worked with numerous women, helping them achieve extraordinary results in their lives, careers, and businesses.

Over the years, I’ve observed a recurring challenge among high achievers: they set incredibly high goals, juggle multiple roles, and work tirelessly to succeed. Yet, they often neglect the most important relationship of all – the one they have with themselves.

I also know this struggle firsthand having come from a fast-paced social science research career that had deadlines upon deadlines. Business is also not a walk in the park and it’s easy to get into the grind of working hard and forgetting to prioritize yourself and your self-care.

That’s why I love hosting and participating in the 28 Days of Loving Yourself Challenge as it provides a safe, structured, and supportive space for women to take a step back and focus on what truly matters.

Each year, I also take this challenge alongside participants. It has become my own annual reset, helping me clear clutter, strengthen boundaries, realign my goals with my values, and gain clarity about my personal life and business. Ultimately, the challenge has become a practice I rely on to maintain balance, growth, and focus.

Why February?

December and January can be some of the most overwhelming months for women.

December brings the whirlwind of holiday preparations, family gatherings, and an endless to-do list that often leaves little room for rest.

January, on the other hand, brings its own set of challenges. There’s pressure to start the year strong and set new and bigger goals for the year. And you do this while recovering from the physical, emotional, and financial strain of the holidays.

It’s additionally stressful for working mothers who juggle career responsibilities with hosting, cooking, and creating memorable experiences for their loved ones. There are times when I look back and wonder how I stayed sane when my children were younger!

February is the perfect month for a reset

Many women are running on empty by the time February rolls in. After the whirlwind of the holidays and the intensity of January, many women feel drained and in need of restoration or a fresh start. Some will also tell you that they need a holiday to recover from the holiday season and January madness!

The 28 Days of Loving Yourself Challenge offers exactly that.

It provides a structured, intentional way to focus on yourself and set the tone for the rest of the year. It’s also an opportunity to step back, reconnect with yourself, and set the tone for the rest of the year.

While the challenges mentioned above exist, the truth is that most women don’t prioritize their self-care during the year. Some even feel that taking time out or doing something for themselves is selfish.

Self-care is not selfish. It’s one of the most important investments you can make in yourself and in those you care for.

When you prioritize your well-being, you show up more fully for your family, your career, and your life. You also have more energy to handle the hiccups that life brings without getting worn out.

This live version that runs in February is designed to help high-achieving women:

  • Press pause on the hustle.
  • Reconnect with themselves.
  • Build sustainable self-care habits that last long after February ends.

Self-care is also not just a February activity

That’s why this challenge is available year-round. You can sign up anytime and work through the program at your own pace, giving yourself the gift of self-love whenever you need it most.
